Michael Cenci was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been photographing Florida wildlife and nature for over 25 years. As an avid outdoorsman, he attempts to capture nature at her most defining moments. From the delicate butterfly perched on a flower, to the prehistoric gator lurking in the swamp, from the tranquility of the marsh at sunrise, to the bald eagle capturing his prey. He hopes that those viewing his photography will see the wonder of nature through his eyes.
Michael is a member of The Art Center of Jacksonville and a member of the Jacksonville Coalition of the Visual Arts. His photographs are on display in galleries located at 31 West Adams, 229 Hogan Street, the Corse Gallery on Herschel Street as well as other local galleries. Some of his accomplishments include photographs displayed at MOCA Jacksonville's Looks at Animals, two time winner in the St Augustine Alligator Farm photo contest, being the featured visual artist for Beaches Fine Art Series in November, 2010, as well as being selected to participate in the 2008 Art After Dark at the Florida Theatre. Some of Michaels photographs have been published in The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, and The Mirror in Great Britain, as well as other international media. He participates in charity events such as The St Johns Riverkeeper, Art Unleashed, Art and Wine Fest for Breast Cancer, etc.
