Mary McAllister

Mary has been interested in art since the first time she finger-painted at a neighbor’s house when she was 5 years old.  That interest led her to constant drawing as a teenager and even more when she entered the Maryland Institute College of Art.  Color, pattern, paint, printmaking, all of it surprises and delights her even today.  Her interest is patterns in nature (or wherever she happens to find them).  This has been the theme of several paintings she has exhibited in various shows in the Baltimore/Washington area.  A relatively new transplant to Jacksonville, Mary hopes to exhibit her work here and continue to discover new patterns and themes in this totally different landscape of Northeast Florida.
