Artwork by Dawn Inglis Montgomery
Biography
Dawn Inglis Montgomery is a fine art painter living and working in Jacksonville, Florida. She took drawing and painting courses while studying architecture and city planning at the University of Virginia. Completing her master's degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology, she worked for seven years in the city planning field. Influenced by this background, she is drawn to the angles and planes found in the urban and natural landscape. Her paintings have been shown at ArtFields (Lake City, SC), the Cummer Museum (Jacksonville, FL), the Jacksonville International Airport, the University of Southern Mississippi Art Museum (Hattiesburg, MS), the LaGrange Art Museum (LaGrange, GA), the Lamar Dodd Art Center (LaGrange, GA), Martin Arts (Stuart, FL), and the Fort Myers Alliance for the Arts (Fort Myers, FL).
Artist Statement
Dawn is inspired by George Bellows, Edward Hopper, and the American Realism Movement. She depicts ordinary people's lives and everyday activities. The feeling of isolation that Hopper captured in the mid-20th century is now echoed in our post-pandemic and increasingly digital world. Montgomery brings regionalism to her work, focusing on southeastern manufacturing industries and skilled laborers behind the scenes. Highlighting the overlooked and hidden corners many pass by, her paintings juxtapose resilience and decay, nature and industry, to find beauty.

Nature Photography by Michael Cenci
Michael Cenci was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been photographing Florida wildlife and nature for over 25 years. As an avid outdoorsman, he attempts to capture nature at its most defining moments, from the delicate butterfly perched on a flower to the prehistoric gator lurking in the swamp, from the tranquility of the marsh at sunrise to the bald eagle capturing his prey. He hopes that those viewing his photography will see the wonder of nature through his eyes.
Michael is also an accomplished woodworker. He has created the frames for many of his pieces from materials found in the Florida wilds.
Michael’s photographs are on display in many corporate collections and local galleries and have been published in The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, The Mirror in Great Britain, and other international media.
