Kathryn Lynn: A Vibrant Journey
Through Watercolor Art
Kathryn Lynn is a watercolor artist whose vivid and expressive paintings have enlivened art communities from Alaska to Florida.
She has cultivated a unique voice that celebrates bright, dynamic color and simple yet dramatic forms. Her work not only captivates but also invites viewers to embrace the joy and vibrancy that color can bring to our daily lives.
Kathryn Lynn's progression as a watercolorist illustrates the power of passion and dedication.
She founded the Sea Sider's Art Group in Palm Beach Shores, a community initiative that fosters artistic collaboration and growth. Her involvement with plein air painting groups, including a notable stint in Anchorage Alaska shows her commitment to capturing the world's natural beauty and moving it directly from the environment to paper. Her paintings have graced galleries not only in Jacksonville but also in Anchorage and New York, drawing critical acclaim and multiple awards.
Kathryn's artistic focus on bright, colorful subjects stems from her belief that color enriches lives, offering a cheerful counterbalance to the mundane. She is a member of the Jacksonville Coalition for Visual Arts and The Art Center of Jacksonville. Kathryn achieved the distinction of becoming a member of the National League of American Pen Women, a prestigious organization recognizing women excelling in art, literature, and music. Kathryn Lynn's artistic philosophy revolves around celebrating simple yet dramatic subjects through the interplay of color and composition. By choosing motifs that are approachable yet striking, she makes her art accessible while ensuring it leaves a lasting impression. Her watercolors invite viewers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the beauty of everyday moments
