Stephen Dunn spent his childhood on a farm in rural Pennsylvania fishing hunting and spending time outdoors when he wasn’t working on the family farm. He began painting at an early age having been inspired by trips in the mountains observing wildlife of the area.
Stephen is currently President of the First Coast Plein Air Painters of Jacksonville, Florida and serves on the Board of the Plein Air South Convention, roles that align with his interest in the outdoors. “My love for the outdoors helps me to see what has been created and to put it on canvas. I am happiest with a brush in my hand, in the studio or out in the fresh air painting.” He currently teaches oil/acrylic painting, drawing and plein air workshops at his CoRK Art District Studio.
