19th Century Lady
19th Century Lady by Patricia Daly Lipe
In the nineteenth century, a tremendous change took place in the world of the visual arts in Europe and the United States. Beginning with the interpretation of the content of the painting from classical and historical to contemporary social and political meaning, visual art evolved and developed alongside the evolution and development of psychology and technology. This interpretation of the 19th Century Lady is meant to depict this movement in her portrait as personal and even intuitive.
