Artist Statement by Chase Heck
My paintings reflect how I see the world. The "King of the Farm" painting is a nod to George Orwell's “Animal Farm”. After recently re-reading the book, I found the similarities between Napoleon and Trump’s character to be astonishing. I painted this to show the man as he should be shown, not as a pig, but a manipulator. Also, NO, this painting is not meant to call Trump a pig. It’s also not to mock or acknowledge conspiracies of the attempts on his life. Public assassinations only benefit their goals and it’s not hard to believe accelerationists would want to speed up the process.
