Chocolate Drops by Ed Malesky is a wooden carving of liquid chocolate dropping into a puddle.
The droplet shape is hard to turn on a lathe. It requires multi-axis turning plus significant carving. However, as soon as I heard the theme was chocolate, this concept came to mind. Think of it as the last couple of drops from a pot of hot chocolate falling into your cup for your breakfast in a Parisian café. Layers of sanded chalk paint, rubbed with a special wax, adds a richness to the paint that really made that luster from chocolate come through.
