Children's Art Workshops at Kim's Open Door and the Hubbard House. Monthly TAC artists visit Kim's Open Door to provide children after hours art workshops. Kim's team of volunteers and employees work with hundreds of Jacksonville's most vulnerable children in parks, shelters, schools, and churches. Through Art, Music, Athletics, & Dance, Block Parties, In-school tutoring and Cultural orientation. Jewelry Workshop at Kim's Open Door

![]() The Art Center’s service to the community earned us the honor of receiving the 2009 Art of Caring Award from HandsOn Jacksonville.
We strive to give our time and talents to better our community through both partnerships with local charities and our own privately developed and funded programs. Our community service projects include but are not limited to:
Some of the events in which TAC members have participated, both as an organization and/or on an individual basis would include: We are currently raising money for It's Still Elementary Art Supply Fundraiser for Title 1 Schools in Duval County. Please Help if you can (Find out More) Our work in the Community 2020: It's Elementary that Art Teachers need Supplies TAC raised $4000 and provided 200 elementary students with art supplies. It’s Elementary - that Duval ART TEACHERS need supplies (Why this was so important) COVID 19 has really impacted Jacksonville students, particularly the arts programs. The Art Center cooperative has contacted a number of schools to see how we can help. We immediately heard back from a number of art teachers, desperate for art supplies for the new school year. The virus has impacted them is a number of ways:

![]() In an effort to give back to the community, The Art Center has in the past provided murals free of charge (not including supplies) to enhance the property of non-profit organizations. Due to the high volume of requests and limited resources, we have implemented a mural request policy. If you are a 501(c)(3) organization and desire to have a mural, please complete the following form and a board member from TAC will contact you to discuss the terms of the agreement.
