Artist Peggy Harrell JenningsFeatured Artist Exhibition Scheduled Feb 19th - Mar 12th, 2022
Opening Reception Mar 6th, 2pm-4pm Show Title: Birds of a Feather Although she generally portrays a variety of subjects in her artwork, Harrell Jennings has chosen to focus on the beauty and challenges of painting birds for the exhibition, “Birds of a Feather.” Each bird represented comes from a personal encounter whether in her yard, the beach, or on nature walks and hikes. She frequently photographs her subject matter then interprets -whether realistically or expressionistically - according to the chosen media and the moment. For this exhibit she explored various techniques and interpretations with watercolor, acrylic, oil, and mixed media to present and interpret her feathered friends in their natural environment and in her imagination. Harrell Jennings is a Florida native with a lifelong love of the visual arts. She is a member of the Jacksonville Artists Guild, the Art Center Cooperative, the Orange Park Artists Guild and past member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society, Crown Craftsmen and National Art Education Association. |
