Event Horizon
Event Horizon by artist Earl Coggins describes an event horizon as the perimeter of a black hole, an entryway, or a threshold, so to speak. This event horizon is an entryway into the tactile world of textures on canvas. Surfaces contrasted with smooth and rough settings, sandy grounds, and the extra sensation of feeling the image.
This piece is part of Earl's Featured Artist Exhibit, "On the Fringe: Abstract Realities." The exhibit runs from Oct 15th - Nov 26th, 2022. Pieces bought online can be picked up at the end of the exhibit. There will be an opening Reception on Sunday, Oct 23, 2022, 2pm-4pm.
