Lost Thoughts
Lost Thoughts by Mary Atwood
When considering the theme of the What’s on Your Table exhibition, I decided to take a metaphoric approach and create a visual representation of how our hurried lives sometimes cause us to lose track of important details. Something which seems important enough to be written down on the nearest available piece of paper is lost in a moment of inattention as we move on to the next task on our table.
I leave it to the viewer to interpret for themselves what the contents of the note may have been and what the empty glass might represent.
This piece is part of the "What's on Your Table?" Exhibition at the Main Library in downtown Jacksonville Fl. from November 28th - January 5th. If you need the piece before the end of the exhibit, please notify us at 904-233-9252, and we will arrange an early pickup. Reception December 7th, 6pm-8pm.
