Blue Harvest by Jane Rodriguez
Jane Rodriguez is a Hispanic high school student from Orange Park, Florida. She has been attending art lessons for two years and is currently a student of Mary Joan Hinson, at The Ronan School of Music. Jane has experimented with colored pencils, charcoal, and oil paint, and is continuing to learn new mediums. She is a cat mom of four and enjoys reading, gaming, and going to concerts in her spare time. Jane hopes you enjoy her work.
“Blue Harvest” is a colored pencil piece, symbolizing the product of a harvest on a table, of not only fruit but of a craft. The fabric these items sit on is the thanksgiving tablecloth I use annually, giving me a sense of nostalgia when creating and viewing the piece. I hope it provides a feeling of warmth and gathering to the viewer, no matter their season.
This piece is part of the "What's on Your Table?" Exhibition at the Main Library in downtown Jacksonville Fl. from November 28th - January 5th. If you need the piece before the end of the exhibit, please notify us at 904-233-9252, and we will arrange an early pickup. Reception December 7th, 6pm-8pm.
