Maybe It's Time
Maybe It's Time by Lori Ann Sweet
Ten years ago, I suffered several losses of people I deeply cared for. The loss has been overbearing and greatly impacted my life. Over a period of time, it is slowly occurring to me that even though the losses have been devastating that maybe their memories will live forever in my mind. However, letting the memories go to move forward has confronted me with a tremendous challenge. I am only beginning to understand today how the Ancient Egyptians had written on the walls of the Pyramids a saying. The Egyptians wrote, “To speak the name of the dead is to keep them alive.” I dedicate the painting, Maybe it’s Time” to the people who are no longer with me. Maybe it's time to move forward and let go. Not an easy task for anyone to do, This painting is a reflection of a somber mood but also is understanding to let go and move forward. It is probably the hardest emotion we have experienced.
