Serena is my oldest child and firstborn, so shortly before she went to college, I wanted to pay tribute to her. It was daunting to make a portrait of a loved one, and I hoped to get the likeness; I especially enjoyed the eyes, and her beautiful head of curls was an exciting challenge to render out of the collage.
