Pierced by artist Ed Malesky is an intricately crafted sculpture turned from maple wood and painted, the green patina spear punctures a natural sphere. The two components of this piece were both turned on a lathe. They were then textured and painted with metallic paint. Patina chemicals were then applied which reacted with the paint to create the illusion of aged metal.
