The Lone Sailor by artist James Haltiwanger
While exploring the St. John’s river, I stumbled upon a statue overlooking it, so I had
to paint it. It’s a Navy memorial sculpted by Stanley Bleinfeld, who also sculptured the Lone Sailor in Washington D.C.
This piece is part of the "Sailing Along the St Johns" Art Exhibition. The Exhibit runs from August 7th - September 30th, 2023. You are invited to visit from 12-5 Mon-Sat or accept an invitation to our opening reception on August 13th, 2023 from 2-4pm. There will be an awards ceremony, food, drink, and an opportunity to speak to the artists.
