Diversity, East Africa by Cookie Davis
Patterns take from different cultures. Kente, a Ghanaian originally inspired by a spider’s web. Shweshe, a traditional fabric of southern African clothing, Aso Oke means top cloth, designed and worn by Yorba people of West Africa. Bongolan known as mud cloth. Produced by the Bambara tribe of Mali and Ankara commonly worn by people in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Sudan. This cloth symbols represent moods, feeling, cultures and traditions of the designers. This was a fun project.
