Spring in the Forest by Anke Kelly

“Spring in the Forest” is made entirely of glass. The background is painted with glass paint and then it is fused in my kiln. Additional pieces of glass are cut and attached. Also added is some frit (small pieces of glass and more glass paint. The piece is then fired again in the kiln at 1350 degrees. Matting and a frame are added for the finishing touch.


This piece is part of the New Beginnings Exhibition.

  • Exhibitions Dates:  January 13th - March 9th, 2024. at the TAC Gallery 320 East Adams St, Jacksonville, Fl 32202
  • Join us for the Reception on Sunday - Jan 21st from 2-4 PM
  • ART PICKUP: We ask that you leave the work in the exhibition until the end of show. Pick up after Mar 9th. You may buy your pieces online. To collect your purchased artwork, please come to the Art Center Cooperative, Inc after the exhibition ends, Tue-Fri Noon-5 pm and Sat 11-3 pm
