Gouache paint on watercolor paper.
The painting’s title is adapted from the last line of the famous poem “Ode to the West Wind” written by renowned romantic poet Percy Shelley. The actual line is “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” My thought is that, even though it’s cold, and the ground is looking bare—except for perhaps some crops that can be planted before the last frost in early spring, the dormant landscape can be appreciated as a harbinger for the beauty that is to come.
This piece is part of the New Beginnings Exhibition.

- ART PICKUP: We ask that you leave the work in the exhibition until the end of show. Pick up after Mar 9th. You may buy your pieces online. To collect your purchased artwork, please come to the Art Center Cooperative, Inc after the exhibition ends, Tue-Fri Noon-5 pm and Sat 11-3 pm
