I love to experience the change in seasons by visiting North Carolina during the peak Fall season to view the trees in their bold colors. This painting was inspired by the beautiful vista looking out across the mountain ranges from the Blue Ridge Parkway heading south from Asheville, NC. Getting out in the morning the mist is still lying in the valleys and there are lovely shadows from the trees.
