Having passed by the koi pond and not finding it very interesting, everything changed when it started raining. Suddenly, the surface was covered with intersecting ripples, and I realized I now had a painting to do. Being transparent watercolor, I painted dark around the white areas, leaving the white of the paper. The process was as challenging as it looked.
