This painting is mixed media - using acrylic paint, watercolor pencils, and pastels. To me, the painting has beauty and mystery. The play of highlights keeps drawing the viewer deeper and deeper into the scene. The palm shapes bend towards the central area of the painting. There is depth, and the ins and outs" of the foliage make one wonder what is hiding beneath or behind.
My goal is to draw the viewer into the scene to take time to appreciate the beauty and magic. Nature can energize and calm - it always makes me appreciate its beauty. I hope you feel the
same way.
